Issues Resolves

Copy Product would fail due to child table UUIDs. New UUIDs are generated for copied products. Master Title search now displays all titles. An issue caused not all all master titles to display. Added Subtitle to the Master Title search for clarity to the user.

Feature Updates

Improved search capability on pages

List search now uses a system index with categorized fields, so matching is more robust across catalogue and operations pages. Previously you often needed exact wording for a record to appear. Flip now normalizes common text variants — for example treating and and & as equivalent — so Flippers can find what they need without guessing the exact phrase stored on the record. Search still works with filters and sorting: filters narrow the set of matches, and sorting only changes the order of results. See the Search user guide for how to use it day to day.

Issues Resolved

Products search typing lag — Search input on list headers now stays responsive while you type; the list query updates after a short pause instead of on every keystroke.

Feature Updates

Titles, Products, and Formats

Flip now treats more catalogue detail as product-level so editions can differ under the same title. Titles stay focused on the work; products carry the edition-specific data you sell. Moved onto Products
  • Contributors — Link contributors and roles on each product (with ordering). Title-level contributor links are no longer the source of truth for product editions.
  • Series — Products reference a series via series_id from the collections attached to that product. Filters and Sales Presentations use the same ID-based series model.
  • Publishing status — Publishing status is maintained on the product (ONIX List 64), not on the title.
  • Season, publisher, collections, and target age — These fields live on the product so editions can differ.
  • Synopsis and selling points — Replaced by Product Collateral (see below). Existing title copy was migrated onto products.
Moved onto Formats / Titles
  • Product form — Product form is stored on the linked Format, not on the product row.
  • Primary edition — Primary edition is maintained on the Title, with products linked under a title group.
Title groups
  • Opening a title now centres on a title group view: hierarchy of products and formats, in-context product tables, and add-product flows without leaving the group.
  • Product detail routes resolve through the title-group experience so related editions stay easy to navigate.

Title Group demonstration

Product form improvements
  • Reordered sections and clearer labels (Season / Series / Publisher without the old “Title …” prefixes).
  • Product format notes, license selection, and richer territory/supply/sales-rights configuration on the product.
  • Inline create flows for titles and products from search/select dialogs.

Product Collateral

Marketing copy now lives on the Product, not the Title — so each edition can carry its own synopsis, selling points, reviews, and awards.
  • Open a product and go to Collateral → Collateral Detail. Use the Text Content, Cited Content, and Awards tabs to maintain ONIX-aligned marketing details.
  • Text Content supports types such as Description (synopsis) and Promotional headline (selling points), with optional language/country variants and territory scope (leave empty for Worldwide).
  • Cited Content captures third-party reviews and mentions; Awards records prizes and achievements (including language variants for prize statements).
  • Sales Presentations resolve synopsis and selling points from product collateral, including territory-aware enrichment where configured.

Territories, supply, and tax

  • Tax schemes under Organisation settings → Finance with dated rate history. Territory supply defaults and product supply price taxes link to schemes.
  • Product territories, markets, supply, supply prices/taxes, and sales rights are managed on the product form, with clearer completion steps and org-level territory defaults (warehouse, tax scheme, price defaults).
  • Activating a territory no longer auto-seeds supply and prices — you create supply explicitly when ready.

Licenses

  • Products can be assigned an organisation License. License appears on product lists (filter, sort, export) and in Sales Presentation preview/editor fields.

Sales Presentations

  • Fullscreen carousel mode, improved product-sheet layout (internal images, cover sizing), and optional full video player.
  • Collections and license fields available in presentation views; progressive loading for large presentation content.

Saved views

  • List Views now use an explicit Save control instead of silently autosaving every layout change.

Issues Resolved

Sales Presentations after Titles/Products changes — Presentations correctly load product and title data after the refactor, including synopsis/selling points from collateral, series ID references, filters, and shared/published views. Title group stability — Fixed title form edit crashes, related-records loading, hierarchy/history issues, org context when switching groups, and product-table behaviour when adding products. Product and format forms — Formats no longer mark dirty when nothing changed; editing badge and header padding cleaned up; product format notes display correctly in view mode; format_id can be null where appropriate; preferred-supplier columns show supplier names instead of UUIDs. Territory and supply UX — Overflowing tax/market dialog fields, select-territory dropdown width, supply price “invalid date” display, and market override/supply locking behaviour improved. Discard confirmation added when leaving territory edits in organisation settings. Tables and filters — Filter cards show full category lists; product list saved-view columns no longer wiped when resolving presentation/product query params; cover thumbnails sized consistently on titles and products lists. Quotes and inventory display — Thousand separators applied to SOH and quote/quote-request quantity displays. Misc UI — Peek drawer resets when the primary record changes; alert dialogs wrap long words; table clipping into the sidebar reduced; production-section button layout fixed.

Feature Updates

Tables

Flip list tables now support richer sorting, filtering, and column layout controls across the main catalog and operations lists (Titles, Products, Formats, Quote Requests, Supplier Quotes, and more). Multi-column sorting
  • Sort by up to five columns at once. Hold Shift and click column headers to add another sort level, or use the Sort control in the table toolbar to build and reorder the sort stack.
  • Active sorts appear as chips above the table (for example, Sort 1: Title (Asc)), with per-sort clear actions.
  • Sort order is reflected in the page URL and can be saved in Views so teams can share consistent list ordering.
Advanced filters
  • The filters popover now offers Basic and Advanced modes on supported lists.
  • Basic mode keeps the familiar checklist filters. Advanced mode opens a query builder where you can combine conditions with AND / OR groups (for example, filter Titles by publication date range and series, or Products by ISBN, list price, and product form).
  • Advanced filters are available on Titles, Products, Formats, and on Sales Presentation product sections in dynamic mode. Applied advanced filters show as chips above the table alongside sort chips.
Freeze columns
  • Right-click a column header and choose Freeze up to a column to pin identifier columns (such as title or product code) while scrolling horizontally through wide tables.
  • Choose Unfreeze columns from the same menu to clear pinning. Frozen column position can be saved in Views on Titles, Products, and Publishing Program product lists.
The Customize columns menu also includes search so you can quickly find columns in long column lists.

Contributors

Publishers can now manage Contributors for their publications directly in Flip.
  • A new Contributors item appears under Titles in the navigation. Use it to maintain your organization’s contributor library, including Corporate contributors and Independent / Non-Corporate individuals.
  • Each contributor record supports ONIX-aligned detail: honorific and name, default contributor role (ONIX List 17, for example By author or Illustrated by), places, professional positions, website details, biographical notes (including language- and country-specific notes), and an optional contributor picture.
  • On a Title, open the Contributors section to link one or more contributors and set their role for that title (mandatory per ONIX contributor composite rules). Contributors can be reordered on the title; changes are held until you save the title, consistent with other deferred title edits.
  • Contributor names appear on the Titles list and can be included as fields in Sales Presentations, supporting downstream ONIX for Books Format Specification 3.1.3 (Authorship / Contributor composite).

Issues Resolved

Master Title search on Product form — The Master Title search field on the Product form no longer closes while you type. Search results stay visible during background loading so you can select a title without the popover dismissing. Sales Presentation display defaults — New presentations now receive consistent defaults Quote Comparison price breaks — Quote Comparison now uses the Quote Request price break quantities when comparing supplier quotes, so all quantity tiers defined on the request appear in the comparison matrix instead of falling back to generic default quantities.

Feature Updates

Approval Workflows 💫

Flip now supports approval workflows right within the application. Approvals can be configured by type like Quote Requests and Purchase Orders. When these requests are made, the default approver or any user within the assigned group, can approve the action. All approvals are auditable with a timestamp and signature (if requested). Approval workflows are configured in the Organization Settings.

Sales Presentations 🎉

Flip now allows publishers to create professional Sales Presentations using their Title, Product and Format data. Presentations can be hugely customised to suit various styles including Card, Table, Carousel and Kanban views. Once presentations have been created for customers, they can be published and shared via a link. Over the next few months we will continue to add functionality to allow for pricing to be provided to customers as well as analytics for users to see the performance of their presentations (i.e. views, clicks and time spent viewing).

Issues Resolved

Realtime sync has been improved for notifications, with fallback unnecessary requests being removed. Quotes forms now accept 3 decimal place inputs Plates can be specified as $0 now in quote forms

Feature Updates

Added new filtering UI for tables, which allows more filters to be included without taking up space on the page. Further, searching for items in the filters is much easier for all filter options. We now display filtered items in badges/chips above the table, along with the column that is being sorted, making it easier for the user to identify the filtered rows. Increased API performance by ~2x with some code enhancements.

Issues Resolved

Removed M3 container inputs for palletized stock on organization settings as these are no longer needed.

Feature Updates

You can now view a record in a “new tab” from the preview sidebar, making it easier to multitask in Flip. The browser now tracks the user’s table page, ensuring they return to the same page when navigating back.

Issues Resolved

Fixed a 404 error in the Products form when updating Format & Specifications. Product Extra Costs and Savings are now saved only after pressing Update when editing a product. Previously, these changes were applied instantly instead of waiting for the user to press “Update”.

Feature Updates

Edit Extra Cost and Savings library items from Formats page You can now edit Extra Costs and Savings from the Formats page. Previously, you had to go to the Settings page to edit Extra Costs and Savings in the library.
Be careful when updating the library from the Formats page. This will affect any Formats where this Extra Cost or Saving is used.
Double-Click to View Records You can now set your usability settings to display records when double-clicking a row in a table.
